Calling all fashionistas for the Lone Star Pukekohe Fashion in the Field
The spring raceday fashion event will showcase the best racewear and current fashion trends, with huge prizes up for grabs.
The event allows anyone over the age of 18 to sign-up and vie for the chance to represent Pukekohe Park at the National Fashions in the Field Final, the Viva Prix de Fashion at Ellerslie in March.
The overall winner will also receive a prize package valued at over $2,000.
Pukekohe Park marketing coordinator, Natalie Jamieson, said the judges would be looking for originality and uniqueness.
Judges include swimwear designer Carena West, Mai FM radio host Nickson and NZ Idol judge Megan Alatini who will be looking for originality and uniqueness.
The key to the right raceday outfit is keeping it classic, or elegant, with a trendy and unique edge. Headwear is an absolute must for a spring race day and a matching clutch is also important.
Stylish shoes finish off the whole package. Nude shoes are very strong this spring; and make sure they are grass friendly.
Lone Star Pukekohe Fashion in the Field will be held at SsangYong Counties Cup Day at Pukekohe Park from 12:00pm on November 19.
The day will involve a preliminary heat of the three categories. Contestants will then take to the runway where the six finalists in each category will be invited back on stage to decide category winners and an overall winner will be selected from the semi-finalists.
Contestants can enter at the pre-registration party, which will be held at Lone Star Pukekohe on November 1 from 4:00pm.
There will be a fashion show with raceday tips, the ability to pre-register and the chance to win a Cup Day prize package valued at over $1,000.
