End of an era for the Holden Commodore
Farewell parade held at Pukekohe Park last Saturday
Just under 200 Holden Commodore’s gathered at Pukekohe Park on Saturday to commemorate the last of the production of the Holden Commodore in Australia.
The news first broke not from Holden, but the Elizabeth manufacturing site north of Adelaide. According to the group, the final car was completed on Wednesday 18th October and was a red SS V-Series Redline sedan.
Holden confirmed the news about the end of production in Australia, and honoured 69 years of manufacturing which culminated in more than 7.6 million vehicles built for Australia and the world.
The ‘Classic Holden Owners of NZ’ Facebook group organised the cruise and parade that began at Smales Farm and ended at Pukekohe Park around midday with several laps around the circuit.View the video here: https://www.facebook.com/pukekohepark/videos/1712575362109456/
