Quality mare for Counties

Group 1 winner lines up at Pukekohe

Consensus will warm up for another Group One challenge with an outing at Pukekohe Park on Saturday week [28th Jan].

The Postponed mare opened her account at the highest level last time out with her Boxing Day defeat of Volkstok’n’barrell in the Zabeel Classic at Ellerslie.

The mare was expertly handled by Pukekohe jockey Alysha Collett who was also securing her maiden success at the highest level.

"I’m pretty chuffed. I can’t thank Leo and Stephen enough as they’ve supported me being on her the whole way,” said Collett.

"She’s good and she’ll run in the open mile at Pukekohe Park and then go to the Herbie Dyke Stakes at Te Rapa,” trainer Stephen McKee said.
